No one can look down on the celebrations of the martyred but indomitable Palestinian people in the streets of devastated Gaza. And one day of truce means one more day of life for the victims of genocide, especially for civilians and children emaciated by starvation. On the contrary, the boasts of the fascist Trump, who narcissistically and foolishly claims that he alone has managed to bring "eternal peace to the Middle East" (!!), are cause for celebration. To be precise, the Nobel Peace Prize that he covets and demands, if he gets it, has its place in the dustbin of history, along with the corresponding prizes awarded to Kissinger, Begin, and Sadat...
Equally ridiculous, and at the same time dangerous, is the boast of the arch-war criminal Netanyahu that it is "a great day for Israel." the initial agreement for the initial phase of the plan that bears Trump's name but was primarily drafted by Ron Dermer, Netanyahu's chief advisor. What "victory for Israel" is he talking about when one of the most powerful armies in the world, with the most advanced technology and the full support of the US and the EU, after two years, has not managed to win but "negotiating" with a popular militia of 40,000 fighters? A militia, however, where every dead fighter is replaced by another young fighter, as it represents a people that has nothing to lose but its genocide.
The solidarity with Palestine of all oppressed humanity, led by the working class and youth, has cornered the genocidal state and the imperialists—but there must be no complacency.
What is our responsibility, especially as revolutionary internationalists? To place all responsibility on the leaders of the Palestinian movement now and after the fact? Can there be peace without justice? Will the perpetrators of genocide and crimes against humanity grant it to us? What have we, as the Greek people, learned from Varkiza and its consequences to this day?
THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES!
FREEDOM FOR PALESTINE FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA!
