On Saturday morning, October 7, the Hamas-affiliated Al-Qassam Brigades launched an offensive against the Zionist state in response to the recent escalation of Israeli massacres against Palestinians. A large number of rockets were fired from Gaza into the Israeli-occupied territories, while Palestinian forces crossed the declared borders enforced by Israel and entered some towns, such as Sderot, inflicting significant casualties on the enemy. In the following hours, other Palestinian factions, such as the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and Islamic Jihad, issued statements of support for the operation. Hamas also called on Palestinian resistance fighters in Lebanon to mobilize against the Zionists.
We are going through a watershed moment in the struggle of the Palestinian people. Once again, we emphasize that the resistance of the Palestinian people against Israel – which has occupied their land, imposed a systematic ethnic cleansing on them, repeatedly bombed their cities, and built a horrible apartheid regime for those who are left behind – is justified and legitimate. Moreover, this operation is a clear and justified response to the countless massacres Israel has inflicted on the Palestinian people in recent months.
On the other hand, the toiling people of Turkey should not think that this operation is directed solely against Zionist Israel, that it is only a message to it. With this tremendous move, the Palestinian organizations, especially Al-Qassam, are sending a clear message to the Arab leaders who have stabbed them in the back and, of course, to Erdogan: The Palestinian people will not give up their resistance to your dollar calculations! They will not side with the imperialists and Zionists! The despotic regime in Turkey, which is in a love affair with the Zionists was as unprepared for the Palestinian movement's move as Israel was. This operation targets not only the occupying Israel, but also Erdogan and the despotic regime in power in Turkey, which is preparing to be an accomplice in the theft of Palestinian gas and is in a deep alliance with the Zionists from the Caucasus to the Middle East.
The Revolutionary Workers Party of Turkey (DIP) sees the Al-Aqsa Deluge operation launched by the Palestinian resistance forces as a just and legitimate move and supports it. It calls on our working people and all the peoples of the region to stand against Zionism, to support the Palestinian people, and to fight for the establishment of the Socialist Federation of the Middle East for the construction of a democratic, secular and socialist Palestine where Arabs and Jews can live together in peace.
Zionism will be defeated and the Palestinian resistance will triumph!
